Our Servers & Game Modes
From competitive Retakes to relaxing Surf – find your favorite way to play CS2 on csko.gg.
Wide Selection of Servers
csko.gg runs a diverse lineup of CS2 community servers covering everything from hardcore aim training to chill movement maps. Whether you need to warm up before a ranked session, practice retake scenarios, or just mess around with friends on a Friday night – we have a server for that. Every single server on our network runs the skinchanger, so you always play with the loadout you have configured. No exceptions, no servers where it is "not available yet." Pick a mode and go.
Public (Casual)
Classic casual CS2 with relaxed rules and no pressure. Our public servers run competitive map pools in rotation with standard gameplay rules – plant the bomb, defuse it, buy weapons, all the core mechanics you know. The difference is that there are no rank points on the line, no cooldowns for leaving, and no stress. Drop in for a few rounds when you have 15 minutes to kill, play a full session with friends, or use it to get a feel for maps you do not normally play in ranked. It is also the best place for newer players to learn the flow of a match without getting flamed for not knowing every smoke lineup.
Deathmatch
Free-for-all deathmatch built specifically for aim practice. You spawn, you fight, you die, you respawn instantly – no downtime, no waiting for the next round. Pick any weapon from the buy menu and just focus on clicking heads. Our DM servers are the go-to warm-up for competitive players – hop in for 10 minutes before your ranked games to get your crosshair placement dialed in and your flicks crispy. The spawns are tuned so you are constantly in engagements without getting spawnkilled from behind every two seconds. If you want to improve your raw aim in CS2, this is where you do it.
Retakes
Retakes drops you straight into the most intense moment of a competitive round – the bomb is already planted, and the CTs have to take the site back. Each round randomizes the site, player positions, and available utility, so you are constantly adapting to different scenarios instead of running the same play over and over. This is the single best way to practice clutch situations, post-plant positioning, and utility usage under pressure. You will learn when to peek, when to hold, when to rotate, and when to just send it. If you want to get better at closing out rounds in ranked, Retakes on csko.gg is where you sharpen that skill.
AWP Only
Everyone spawns with an AWP and a knife – nothing else. Pure sniping action on maps designed for long-range duels and aggressive peeks. This mode is all about flick shots, quick-scoping, holding angles, and the nerve-wracking game of peeking corners when you know the other guy is scoped in waiting for you. AWP Only servers on csko.gg are a favorite for players who love the high-risk, high-reward gameplay that the big green gun delivers. One shot, one kill, zero forgiveness. It also happens to be the best place to show off your AWP skin – with every player running an AWP, the skinchanger gets a real workout.
Surf
Surf is a movement-based game mode that has been part of Counter-Strike culture since the 1.6 days. You glide along angled ramps, build speed through precise air strafing, and navigate through increasingly complex courses. There are no enemies to fight – it is just you, the ramps, and the timer. Surf on csko.gg features maps for every skill level, from beginner-friendly tier 1 maps where you can learn the basics to brutally difficult tier 5+ maps that only the best surfers in the world can complete. It is the perfect way to decompress after a tilting ranked session – put on some music, load up a surf server, and zone out. Surprisingly addictive once you get the hang of it.
Dodgeball
Dodgeball is pure chaos in the best possible way. Two teams face off and redirect rockets, fireballs, or other projectiles at each other using perfectly timed right-clicks. It is part reaction test, part mind game – do you fire early and catch them off guard, or wait for them to commit first? The learning curve is gentle but the skill ceiling is surprisingly high, and watching two good dodgeball players go back and forth is genuinely entertaining. On csko.gg, our dodgeball server is the go-to spot for blowing off steam with friends. Nobody takes it too seriously, everyone is laughing, and every round is a different kind of ridiculous.
Jump / Bhop
Bunny hopping and advanced movement are core skills in CS2 – and our Jump and Bhop servers are where you master them. Bhop courses test your ability to chain perfectly timed jumps to build and maintain speed across long obstacle runs. Jump maps challenge your precision movement with platforms, ladders, and gaps that demand exact inputs. Our servers feature courses for every skill level – beginner routes that teach you the basics of strafe jumping, intermediate maps that push your consistency, and expert courses that will take you hours or days to complete. Every course has a timer so you can chase personal bests and compete against other players on the leaderboard. It is the most satisfying grind in CS2 when you finally nail a course you have been stuck on.
Mirage Only
Mirage is the most played map in Counter-Strike history – and for good reason. Our Mirage-only server lets you grind the map nonstop so you learn every angle, every smoke, every flash, every timing, and every off-angle that gives you an edge in ranked. Playing Mirage on repeat means you develop the kind of instinctive map knowledge that only comes from hundreds of rounds – knowing exactly when the CTs rotate off B, which pixel angle on window catches people off guard, and where to stand in A site to survive the most common retake setups. If Mirage is your go-to map in competitive, this server is your practice ground.
Hostage
Hostage rescue is the original Counter-Strike game mode – CTs push into the map to rescue hostages while Ts set up defensive positions to stop them. It flips the dynamic of defusal maps: here, the CTs are the aggressors and the Ts are anchoring down and playing for time. Classic maps like cs_office and cs_italy bring a completely different feel from the standard competitive map pool. Office in particular has a cult following for its close-quarters chaos – tight corridors, lots of angles to clear, and gunfights that happen at distances where shotguns and SMGs actually shine. It is a refreshing change of pace from the defusal grind, and it reminds you that Counter-Strike is more than just Dust2 and Mirage.
Skinchanger on All Servers
Regardless of which game mode you pick, the csko.gg skinchanger is active on every single server across our network. Your full custom loadout – weapon skins, knives, gloves, stickers, StatTrak counters, agents, and everything else – follows you automatically when you switch between servers. Set up your loadout once through the web editor or the in-game menu, and it stays with you whether you are warming up in DM, grinding Retakes, surfing, or just chilling on a public server with friends. No per-server configuration, no needing to re-equip anything. It just works, everywhere. How Skinchanger Works
