What is a Surf server

Surf is a movement mode where you glide along slanted ramps and try to finish the map as fast as possible. No weapons, no opponents, just you, physics and the clock. It is one of the most relaxing and at the same time most addictive modes in Counter-Strike.

The csko.gg surf server runs a timer with checkpoints, saved positions and records for every map. Records show on the website in the stats and the best surfers are on the monthly leaderboard.

The map pool has over 60 maps from tier 1 to tier 5. If you have never surfed, start on surf_beginner or surf_utopia and ask on Discord about the rest, the community is happy to help.

Tips for newcomers

  • Never hold W, on a ramp you only use A and D with smooth mouse movement.
  • Start on tier 1 maps, tier 3 and above are hard even for experienced players.
  • Use checkpoints with !cp and return with !tp.

Frequently asked questions

What commands does the timer have?

!r restarts the run, !cp saves a checkpoint, !tp returns you to it, !wr shows the map record and !top the ranking.

Which maps are on the server?

More than 60 surf maps from tier 1 to tier 5, including surf_beginner, surf_utopia, surf_kitsune, surf_mesa and surf_ski. The map changes by vote or with !nominate.

Do I need to download maps?

No, CS2 downloads maps automatically from the Steam Workshop when you connect.
